FIBE2 CDT recently hosted an online Industry Day, spotlighting the innovative work of four third-year PhD students from Cohort 3. The event brought together industry partners, academics, and students to explore research at the forefront of infrastructure, engineering, and sustainability.
Presentations covered a diverse range of topics—from geometric digital twins for road condition monitoring and industrial facilities, to stretching-based instabilities in shells and hyperspectral remote sensing for land regeneration.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us—and especially to our student speakers for their excellent presentations. We look forward to welcoming you back in September 2025 for the next Industry Day, where the remaining Cohort 3 students will share their research with the CDT community.
